1964Year Mayor Wagner has just announced the names of the fifteen‐
member advisory panel to nominate members of the Board of Higher Education. While the Brooklyn College Alumni Association applauds the Mayor for his maintenance of the free tuition principle and his extension of this principle to the community colleges, we are deeply disappointed with the composition of this panel in view of the function that they are to serve. These individuals have distinguished themselves in their fields and should be highly commended for their willingness to perform public service. This letter should not be construed as criticism of them in any way. Letters to The Times; Filling Education Posts; Nomination Panel Declared Lacking Experience in Field
